Roast Paan

We like eating Roast Paan hot off the stove with a cup of black tea. Some might find our version a bit mild on the sweetness, so taste the mixture beforehand and add some sugar if you want to.

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bread (small)
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup and 3 tbsp. sweetened condensed milk
  • ¾ tsp. vanilla essence
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Mix eggs, condensed milk, vanilla essence and cinnamon until everything is well combined.
  2. Heat a pan and spread a little bit of oil on it to prevent sticking.
  3. Soak the bread in the mixture until well coated. Don’t soak it to the point that the bread breaks.
  4. Arrange the bread on the heated pan. You might need to cook them in batches depending on the size of the pan.
  5. Keep the heat low and using your spatula, check whether the underside has turned golden brown.
  6. When it has turned golden brown, flip and cook the other side in the same way.
