Dreams Diner has opened a new outlet in Male’ and it’s located at the Maaveyo Magu Majeedhee Magu junction, occupying the two floors above the phone shop Dreams Mobile.
The restaurant which welcomed its first customers on 1 December, has an extensive menu featuring dishes from Indian, Thai, Sri Lankan, Italian and Maldivian cuisines among others. There’s a separate pizza menu and a family menu too.
“The menu is designed by chef Didi. I met him 20 years ago when I started working at a resort and he was the head chef there. So he’s bringing all this experience and expertise with him to our customers” says owner Ibrahim Hussain (Ibbe).
According to Ibbe, they’ve kept the prices deliberately affordable as a lot of people are facing financial difficulties due to the current COVID 19 situation. “Our prices being affordable however does not mean we compromise on taste or use low quality ingredients,” Ibbe explains. “We’ve been open now for more than two weeks and so far we’ve not had a single bad comment; we’ve been receiving really good feedback,” Ibbe adds.
Apart from offering good food at reasonable prices, according to Ibbe, Dreams Diner is designed to be comfortable, with a designated smoking area and views of the bustling Majeedhee Magu.
Dream Diner has an outlet in Hulhumale’ too, on Unigas Magu.
