What’s the next best thing to eating good food? Watching great food being made of course! So here’s something for all you food loving folks: Netflix’s Street Food: Latin America.
It’s actually the second season of Netflix’s Street Food series. The series comes from the creators of Chef’s Table (something you should watch if you haven’t already) and the 30 minute episodes of the first season put viewers in close contact with some enigmatic street food vendors from cities across Asia. It was all vibrance and splendor, and season two is that too, with an additional bit of football and tango because it’s Latin America after all.
We don’t want to give away too much of it, but the episodes take you to Buenos Aires in Argentina, Salvador in Brazil, Oaxaca in Mexico, Lima in Peru, Bogota in Colombia and La Paz in Bolivia. And as expected there are empanadas, moquecas, feijoadas and memelas. The backdrops are spectacular and the characters you’d meet have great tales to tell. It’s like travelling while sitting in your sofa; well, almost travelling anyway. And the music, it sneaks up on you, you’ll be dancing before you know it. So just watch it! You’ll love it.
