Category: Lonumedhu Lists

Hello 2020!

We wish our beloved readers a joyful and prosperous year ahead.

Since this is our first article of the year, we think it’s an opportune time to have a look at the foods we are going to be seeing more of this year. So, without further adieu, let’s begin with this little list that's a result of our Internet sleuthing.

Instagram fuelled food culture continues and we are expected to be seeing more and more of aesthetically alluring foods in 2020. These include dishes that include photogenic ingredients such as the star anise, dishes made with squid ink, and desserts such as ice cream made from Philippines’ purple yam ube.

Many things cauliflower

The food scene of 2019 saw cauliflower gnocchi, cauliflower rice and cauliflower pizza crust. And this cauliflower trend is expected to continue way into 2020 as more and more people opt for no or low carb diets.
