Oreo Fudge

This one's for all you Oreo lovers out there. Just four ingredients and around ten minutes of your time is all it takes, and that makes it perfect for those times when you need a quick sugar fix.

Makes: 12 pieces

Ingredients:

  • 270 grams white chocolate
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
  • 20 Oreo cookies

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the tray you are going to use for setting the fudge by either rubbing some butter or oil on the bottom and sides or by lining it with baking paper. We used a 9 inch by 6 inch tray and used baking paper.
  2. Break the Oreo cookies into pieces. You can just use your fingers, and also don’t break them too small; just break every cookie into 3 to 4 pieces.
  3. Combine the white chocolate and the condensed milk in a non-stick pot or pan. Keep the heat low, keep stirring, and cook until the chocolate and the milk are well combined. For us it took around 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the chocolate and condensed milk mixture from the heat and to it add the vanilla essence and half of the Oreos. Mix well, but be careful not to crush the Oreos too much.
  5. Pour the mixture into the tray you prepared. Smooth it out a bit and then place the remaining Oreos on top of it. Use your fingers to press down the Oreo bits into the mixture. Put it in the fridge. It should set within 1-2 hours.
  6. When it’s set, cut the fudge into square or rectangle shaped pieces. That’s it.
