Restaurants to open on July 1

Category: Covid 19

The National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) is allowing restaurants and cafés in Male’ City to finally reopen for dine-in services on July 1.

Strict lockdown measures have been in place ever since the capital city’s first COVID-19 case was recorded on April 15 and under the measures, food outlets were only allowed to provide delivery services up until a recent easing of the measures which gave them permission to extend the services to takeaways.

We are certainly excited about this good news. We’ve hit pause on reviewing restaurants as well as doing interviews with food folks ever since the pandemic arrived, and we look forward to get back to doing that.

It’s still a situation where we must all proceed with caution. So, hope you guys are still keeping safe by adhering to the instructions from the relevant authorities.
